Deed, 1694 August 29, Boston, Mass., to William Parkman, Boston. [manuscript]

Original handwritten deed of sale of land in the "northerly end of the town of Boston" by Sir William Phips, Governor of the Province of Massachusetts Bay, to William Parkman, shipwright, of Boston. Deed provides history of the purchase and sale of land dating back to September 1689 with Samuel Adams, shipwright, selling the property to Timothy Thornton, shopkeeper, of Boston. Sir William Phips purchased the property from John Foster, merchant, of Boston in January 1691. Dated and recorded on 29 August 1694.
